Hearts Galore!

Day 15 of the Rather Awesome 31 day Challenge Giveaway is “hearts” so I decided to try out these lovely stickers I was sent by Blooming Nail Cebu for review. I started off with 2 coats if Caronia Golden Plum which is such a pretty color but it took forever to dry this time for me. I’m hoping it was just due to my trying out a different base coat than usual.

These embossed stickers cost 20 (less than 50 cents US) pesos a sheet, there are tons of stickers on each sheet and they are an easy, breezy way to add some flair to your nails. I went a bit overboard with putting them on my nails but I also wanted these stickers to be all over so I could see how they held up as I’ve had more bad experiences with stickers than good. I was truly impressed with these stickers. I did one hand with top coat and the other without and they both held up great with no peeling up at all. They are well worth 20 pesos. 🙂 The only thing I would have done differently was lay the stickers down from one end to the next instead of just plopping them on the nail which ended up with my getting a few bubbles stuck under the stickers that I didn’t notice until after topcoat. Oh well. It wasn’t very noticeable at all.

I hope y’all like these. Have a great day!

Fuzzy nails!

Wow! Thank you guys for all the love and comments on my chalkboard nails I posted last night. I’m so pleased that everyone likes them so much!

Day 9 of the Rather Awesome 31 Day Challenge Giveaway is “Textured” and I’ve been wanting to try out the flocking powder I got from Blooming Nail Cebu so that’s what I went with today. It’s kind of funny to note that I picked this up when I dropped by their store and then they sent me a jar of the same color. It’s a good thing it was my favorite color of the bunch huh? I believe this is the one that is listed as #6 on their page although the container is not marked with any number. These are available for 38 pesos per jar.
I started with one coat of Oh My Golly Jive and used tweezers to dust the fuzz on to the wet polish. It wasn’t really difficult and it was surprisingly fast to do. I couldn’t just leave them alone so I added a silver stud which I also purchased from Blooming Nail Cebu.

I’m not sure how I feel about velvety nails just yet. I think I’ll have to wear themlonger next time to be able to give it a fair chance.

Have you tried velvet nails? What do you think of them?

Edgy Blues

I’ve been excited to try out these studs on my nails since I bought them about 3 weeks ago from Blooming Nail Cebu. June kind of got away with me so I decided to use them for day 2 of The Rather Awesome 31 Day Challenge Giveaway! The theme for today is blue!

I started with two coats of Chic Montana which is part of their Grainy Collection which I LOVE! I love how fast this polish dries. I love the matte yet sparkly finish. I love how easy it is to clean up despite the fact that is is blue AND glittery! Montana is a bottle full of WIN!

I used tweezers and nail glue to apply my studs and I had some trouble as my nails are so curved the studs wouldn’t lie flat. I’m sure you can notice in the pictures. The nail glue held the studs on but it felt weird to have something so bulky on my nails. This was my first time using studs so I would appreciate any advice you stud veterans can offer.

What do you think of this look? It was really simple to do.

Have a great day ladies!
