Animal Print III

This is an extremely easy design to do and it is very pretty and eye catching. It’s a little on the flashy side but I think, for the right occasion, it is a great look. When I first did leopard print I used a brush for the detail work but I’ve since learned that the smallest dotting tool I have works the best. Try it out. It’s easy peasy!

I think inverting the colors for an accent finger was a nice touch. What do you think?

To achieve this look I used:
Chic – Black Velvet
Jocarste – 26 (silver)
Dotting tool

Antique roses

I thought I would share with you all the very first real nail art I did several months ago which really started me on my new hobby. 🙂

Isn’t it pretty? I was in love and decided I really wanted to use my nails as my creative outlet. I’ve had so much fun since then!

I probably followed a tutorial but I honestly don’t remember. I know, I know… Not cool.

To do this I used:
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear – Mint Sorbet
Wet n Wild – 436 (Pink pearl is the name I believe. It’s really old)
Chic – silky white
Dotting tool
Brush

Magnet-ficent

So today I tried out my first magnetic polish. This one is by Bobbie and its super pretty! I would absolutely wear this one by itself. This is a plum color and if you look closely at the photos, you will notice there is a gold shimmer in the polish.

I tried getting the effect on my pinky nail a couple if times then finally figured out that I needed to start applying the polish from the side of the nail instead of the middle of the nail like I usually do. Then, working quickly, I hovered the magnet over the side I started with and moved it across the nail towards the more recently applied polish. One second can make a difference. If you are having trouble with magnetic polishes I suggest you give this a try. Be quick and methodical. 🙂 Good luck.

The color is Bobbie Magnet-Ficent VI-104

Do you like it?

Flower accent

This is a simple accent I added to my manicure because, now that I’m into nail art, I’m not sure I can do plain nails anymore.

For this look I used:
Sally Hanson – Black Diamond
Sinful Colors Striper – sunset
Sinful Colors Striper – morning breath
BPS – Black rhinestones
Tiny dotting tool

That’s all! Short and sweet. I hope y’all like it.

Ps. Please forgive the oddly placed pinky finger.

Rhinestones galore!

I can’t believe we’ve made it to the last day of the Pre-Spring Challenge! Day 14 is “Recreate” so I’m recreating a favorite look from the other challenge participants. Eeeek Nail Polish submitted this for our “Jewelry” theme and it is just stunning as have been all her manis! Check out her blog here!

I went with a dark plum color so mine would be a bit different. I used rhinestones from born pretty store and the top coat fuzzed a bit but it is still glittery and pretty! My nails aren’t as long so the spacing does look the same but I think they turned out quite nice. I am proud of myself for doing a good job with even spacing. It’s pretty and I received several compliments on it today. 🙂 I’m so glad I was able to participate in this challenge with these ladies! Everyone did a grey job! thank you Mommy Loves Polish and Polish Alcoholic for hosting this challenge. ! Check out all the manicures! My next challenge for myself will be to make my light box and up the quality of pics!

For my version, I used
24k – Raspberry
BPS Rhinestones
