Purple Mix’N’Match Mani (Featuring Pretty Nifty Thrifty Decals)

I’ve got a fun skittle mani to share today. I wanted to try out my Pretty Nifty Thrifty water decals as an accent mani. So I used one of the “Streaks” decals on my ring finger. Each set includes 12 decals which is enough for one full set of nails with a couple of extras for accent nails. Check out my review of these great decals to see my application tips. I did an ombre with the rest of the nails and added some triangle studs I just purchased. I think this looks really cool. Don’t you? I received a bunch of compliments on them.

Want to know what these pretty purple polishes are?
Pointer – Ballerina by Nails To Go
Middle – Tropical Breeze by L.A. Colors
Pinky – Amethyst by Chic

I used a coat of white under the water decal to keep the colors vibrant. I’m not sure why I can’t get the decals to photograph as clear as they look IRL. But they really do look great.

If you are following me on Instagram you already know this… But Pretty Nifty Thrifty is generously sponsoring a giveaway (open to Philippine residents only). Three lucky winners get their pick of 3 sets of decals as a prize. All you have to do to join is follow @thenailinator and @prettyniftythrifty on IG, repost the picture about the giveaway with #pntgiveaway, and tag a few friends.  What are you waiting for? Go! Go! Go! Winners will be announced on Sept. 20!

I hope you are having a great day!

Caronia Blue Moon Collection Swatches and Review (Bourrée, Avant, and Chassé)

I’ve got a new collection from Caronia to share with you all today. Earlier this year, Caronia released its Art of Dance Collection which was created in partnership with Ballet Philippines. The Caronia Blue Moon Collection, is also in partnership with Ballet Philippines. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this collection will  be donated to Ballet Philippines’ Noordin Jumalon Scholarship Program, which supports the training of up to 200 dance scholars each year. How great is that? Great polish with a great cause! I love it!

The Caronia Blue Moon Collection consists of three polishes—Bourrée, Avant, and Chassé.

Caronia Blue Moon Collection - Bourrée

Bourrée is a metallic copper which is opaque in two generous coats. I tend to shy away from frosted polishes, but this falls somewhere between frosted and fine shimmer. That being said, brush strokes are still something to be careful of as you apply this polish. Now I have two orange polishes I like! Yay!

Caronia Blue Moon Collection - Avant

Avant is a frosted, emerald green that needs two generous coats for opacity. It’s a perfect shade for the upcoming holidays. As I have mentioned before, I’m not a big fan of frosted shades, but I am happy with the color and opacity of this polish. It didn’t stain at all upon removal.

Caronia Blue Moon Collection - Chassé

Chassé, is a gorgeous blue shade that is also included in the Art of Dance Collection. I’ve swatched it again anyway because it’s such a stunner! It has a jelly-like finish and is so vibrant! Just look at it! Love! I used 3 coats for this squishy finish.

These polishes are all 3-Free and dry quickly. Suggested retail price (SRP) for this 3-piece (8ml each) set is Php99.75 ($2.22). They are also available individually for SRP Php31 ($0.69) each.

Caronia Blue Moon Collection

Which is your favorite from this trio? I’m loving Chassé the most at the moment. Here is hoping you are having a great week. Keep smiling!

The Nailinator Gets a Makeover!

Hello from my new site!

I have been wanting to update my blog look for a long while now, and Mr. Nailinatorgood-looking, tech-savvy man that he issaid he would do it for me if I could just tell him what I had in mind. So he has been working hard in his spare time making my vague dreams a reality. Thanks again, honey!

Goodbye old, cramped spaces! Hello clean, fresh look. I need feedback people! Do you like it?

Also check out my web address! I waited for over a year for thenailinator (dot) com to be available because someone had just bought it when I went to buy it last July. We saw that the owner renewed it a couple of months ago, so Mr. Nailinator got me the .xyz which (according to him) is the new .com. We’ll see about that. Anyhooo…the people with the .com refused to give it up despite them not even using it at all for over a year now. They said they had future plans for it. Well, good luck with that because I already have all the social media accounts for The Nailinator.

Speaking of social media, would you just look at those adorable nail polish bottle buttons my man made for me!?!?! Just look at them! Aren’t they adorable? Click on them and check out my social media accounts and please do sign up for email notifications if you haven’t already.

I hope you love the new look as much as I do. Have a great week!
