Sparkly Skittles

Hello to all my new friends out there. I’m so happy to have you. Thank you to everyone who has entered my giveaway. If you haven’t done so yet then you ought to. 🙂 Who can say “no” to FREE POLISH?!?! I’m excited!

I decided on a skittle mani today because the lovely Marta of Chit Chat Nails is constantly coming up with magical combinations and I’ve been inspired to have a go myself. I like what I came up with. What do you think?

I used 2 coats of Oh My Golly Jive on the middle finger and thumb and added some BPS rhinestones. I used 2 coats of Jocarste 36 on the ring finger and stamped with Jive. On my index and pinky I’ve got 3 coats of Miss Beauty Diamondmax #8. You can’t really tell by the photo but there are tiny holographic bits in the mix of glitter. So sparkly. Here it is in the sunlight.

  1. Oooh cute!!!!!
Tell me…. do you ever do a skittle mani and think ‘eh..not sure if i like it’? I don’t know why… but skittles look so cute on everyone elses short nails but when i do them on my own long nails i think mine look weird. Or am i alone here? Lol

  2. Oh absolutely Jacqui! You are not alone. I look at other people’s skittles and am all “oh how adorable!” And when I finish mine I’m like “They are ok. Yeah I like them alright.” And of course I’m thinking that I should have only done one nail with this color or switched the designs around or used a different complimenting color. Oh well. We will just have to get used to it. I guess we are our harshest critics.

    • I didn’t know it would work for sure either until I tried. I figured they ought to since they are so pigmented. I used a plate I bought at MyOnline Shop on FB. The plate is OB 16.
