Tribal print

My youngest sister (She shall henceforth be referred to as “The Shutterbug” as her hobbies revolve around photography. She’s really very good at it too.) once again granted me the use of her pretty digits for this mani. The Shutterbug needed a work appropriate look this time so we went for subtle colors and an accent nail. I used Sansan – Cloudy Gray and black acrylic paint , a dotting tool and a striping brush for the details. This is my submission for Short and Sweet in Texas‘ Nail Challenge Theme Tribal.

On another note, today is our 8 year anniversary and the hubs and I are going out! Woohoo! We have good friends coming to watch the kids this afternoon and we are going to the used bookstore! My kind of date! Have a great day!

Surprise!

I went to put away some of my polishes on my polish rack the other day and found this beauty sitting on the rack with a sweet note from my husband. I love surprises! Especially the polish variety. He did good!

This is Jocarste 28. I have been very impressed with the Jocarste polishes I have in my stash. They are cheap but last a long time. I really love their silver and this rose tinted glitter is an instant second favorite for me. It is extremely easy to apply and is opaque in two coats. It is easy to remove and very pretty.

Do you like super shiny polishes in ultra feminine colors?

Neon polka dots

These are some cute nails I did for my sister. The credit for this design goes to Ooohshinies because I pretty much just copied her adorable polka dot design. It was fun and easy to do. My sister loves neon everything so she loved these!

Sorry for the poor quality pic.

And once again I am behind in my submission for the nail art challenge over at Short and Sweet in Texas. I blame it on my hubby getting sick then my kids and now I am sick too. 🙁 I hope to get over it soon so I can do my nails again!

Blue Sapphire and Glitter

Once again I’m late in posting it but I did this mani for Short and Sweet in Texas‘ 30 Day challenge. Day 5 is blue and I had a few ideas of what to do but I wanted some glitter so I went with a dark blue base color and glittery tips.

I love this look. I used:
Sansan- Blue Sapphire
Sinful colors- Hottie
And a sponge

The pictures don’t really do justice to how sparkly these nails are. So pretty! Check out this link to find all the submitted nail art so far for the challenge. We’ve got some seriously talented ladies participating! Let me know what you think. 🙂

Red zebra

I got my hands on some more Oh My Golly brand polishes which come in some great colors and have pretty decent wear time in my experience. Best of all, they are 18 pesos for a 10ml bottle. For those of you who live in the US, that’s a whopping 44 cents a pop. 🙂 Love!

This lovely red color is from their crystal sand collection and is called Indian Red. It’s a pinkish red jelly base with lots of glittery bits in it and dries with a textured finish. I love this color.

I added some zebra stripes with my black Kiss striper to add some pizzaz to the look. What do you think?

I did this mani as my entry for Short and Sweet in Texas30 Day challenge Day 1 which is Red. Check out her blog and the entries for the month. I won’t be able to do each day but I will do as many as I can.
